I still have plans to build my Octagon Strawbale House. I hope to do it on some land that has an abundance of clay. That's hard to find here in Florida. You can buy it but I STILL want to build my little house , "up from the ground". Saw another docu about Cal EArth and the amazing Iranian -American who created it.
I sure hope you can find such a property some day, Annie B., but wouldn't the extraction of clay create a moat around the construction? Come to think of it --considering some neighborhoods I've lived in-- a moat might not be a bad idea.
